Bonnell Drive Cancels Halloween Festivities
Residents of Bonnell Drive and the Bonnell Park Homeowners Association have cancelled the popular Halloween party this year because of the risk of spreading COVID-19. Everyone hopes for better news next year, but request that trick or treaters celebrate at home or elsewhere—safely—until the coronavirus is under control. The home of Bonnell residents Matt and Kelly Welch and their daughter, Hayley, is the first party stop among the other welcoming homes around Bonnell Park. “Decorating for Halloween is one of my favorite things,” Matt said. “I’ll miss it.”
Halloween always attracts hundreds of costumed revelers and last year, the Chronicle staff took photos that we share here to remind you of the great joys of holiday gatherings, and to stay safe and healthy, wear masks, wash hands, and, above all, cherish the memories we’ve made and will make again in 2021.
