The Canyon Sages, Topanga’s dues-free organization for seniors, is reborn this spring and open for business.
On Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, Sages will hold its only fundraiser, a Shredding Event in the parking lot of the Community Center. Each box or bag is shredded for $10 each. Park on site and volunteers will help unload your boxes.
While you’re waiting, sip on coffee and enjoy goodies at the Sages celebrated bake sale. For more information or to volunteer, call Wendy Forrester at (310) 403-0743.
New to the canyon? The Sages always welcome new members. Introduce yourself at our free monthly dinner at the Community House, on Friday, May 6, starting at 3:30. The theme is Cinco de Mayo and the food is cooked by volunteers.
All participants must be vaccinated and sign a waiver for the TCC.
To RSVP (required) or volunteer to cook or set up, contact Karen Dannenbaum at email@example.com, and join the crew.
Under the leadership of James Grasso, the Canyon Sages offers classes for seniors, but open to everyone. New Activities Director, Velvet Marshall, is seeking teachers for classes in Yoga for Brain Health, Chair Yoga, and others. Velvet’s art classes are now in session.
