What an amazing 2023-2024 season the Santa Monica Girls Fastpitch (SMGF) 10U Gold softball team had. They defied the odds as they advanced from Districts to States to be the first SMGF 10U team to qualify for Nationals. They finished as one of the top 12 teams out of over 40 in Nationals. “Even through rough times, every girl on our team contributed to our success of making it to Nationals. It was, by and large, a team effort,” said Hayley Welch (pitcher & left field).
