A unique invitation to participate in a series of Australian webinars (Bushfire Resilience, Inc.) about wildfire resilience for households in rural areas and on the urban fringe, comes from Craig Lapsley, head of emergency services for the state of Victoria, Australia, and the one in charge of the Chinook deployments for L.A., Ventura, and Orange counties. Sessions 1 and 2 have occurred, but there are 3 remaining sessions this month and September. The issue is the time of day during the 17-hours difference between Melbourne, Australia, and here. For a webinar that begins at 7:30 p.m. in Melbourne you would tune in here at 2:30 a.m. the day before. To register: bushfireresilience.org.au/webinar.
